Growth through investment, high standards and knowledge. It’s been an exciting autumn for us at Arla Foods Ingredients. After celebrating the start-up of production at our new dry-blend lactose plant, we were joined by 200 guests for the plant’s official inauguration in November. Just four days later, heavy construction machinery rolled back onto the site to start work on the next major building project – our new hydrolysate plant.

Such investments are fundamental to meeting our ambitious growth goals. More than that, the close attention to detail and our single-minded dedication to quality, safety and hygiene demonstrate how we aim to get there. By always exceeding the current market standards.

Achieving our growth goals also means intensifying our efforts to share knowledge. We see this as essential to raising awareness of the latest research developments and supporting the collaborative innovation necessary to solving challenges related to infant nutrition, an ageing population and the global food supply. Some of our input to recent knowledge-sharing events is available in this issue of Talking Point.

Naturally, our work to meet market trends with new product concepts is ongoing. Two of our articles cover the latest opportunities for sports yoghurt and recombined dairy products.

As 2014 draws to a close, I would like to thank customers and partners for another year of successful cooperation.  We look forward to continuing our dialogue with you in 2015.
