That commitment is evident more than ever in our application labs, where our team of specialists continues to reveal new ways to use whey proteins in food products. The more we work, the more it appears that the functional and nutritional opportunities are endless.

Over the past few months, we have been able to launch new solutions for low-fat cottage cheese, gluten-free bakery products and a low-fat dip that makes use of the acid whey left over from Greek-style yoghurt production. As always, there are many more ideas in the pipeline.
Within the sports nutrition world, our protein ingredient for fast sports recovery is becoming increasingly well established. We are pleased that Brazilian ultramarathon runner Márcio Villar has agreed to be brand ambassador for Lacprodan® HYDRO.365. Márcio’s support is an important endorsement of our product’s performance-enhancing effect.

The past six months have also seen our debut on the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) online auction platform, where we are now selling some of the food-grade lactose produced at our recently expanded production facilities. Many of our customers – some of them new ones that we have reached through GDT – appreciate this transparent price-setting method.
