Professor Arne Astrup heads the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports at the University of Copenhagen, and is a Senior Consultant at Clinical Nutrition Research, Bispebjerg Frederiksberg University Hospital. He has over 30 years of clinical research experience, mainly focusing on physiology and pathophysiology of energy and substrate metabolism, with special emphasis on the etiology and treatment of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
